I come from the heartland of Bihar — Katihar, where makhana isn’t just food… it’s a tradition, a livelihood, and a legacy. I grew up watching our farmers waking up before sunrise, standing knee-deep in water, harvesting every piece of this superfood with unmatched love and labor. And somewhere deep within me, I knew: this story needs to reach the world.

That’s how SMT was born — Shyam makhana traders — not just a brand, but a dream to take India’s ancient superfood to global shelves with pride, purity, and purpose.

I started from scratch. No legacy, no big funding, no godfathers — just one thing: faith. Faith in our farmers. Faith in our roots. And faith that if we give the world something truly pure, it will recognize its value.

Today, SMT is more than a product. It’s a symbol of how far passion, purpose, and patience can take you.
